Service Focus:
Through the prophet Zechariah, the Lord foretold a day when his people would look upon the One they pierced and mourn with deep repentance. In the Passion History, we see that prophecy fulfilled as Jesus suffers, dies, and is buried for our sins. Yet the Spirit of grace leads us not only to sorrow but also to faith. Looking at the crucified Savior, we grieve over our sin and rejoice that his finished work brings forgiveness and peace.
