Series Focus – “The Beginning of the End”
“The End Is Near.” For Christians, this is a message not of fear but of watchful hope. The End Times began with Christ’s death and resurrection, and he will come again on judgment day. We live in between: salvation won, glory to come. It’s the beginning of the end. No one knows the day or hour, so we stay awake in repentance and faith. Rather than predicting signs, we remain rooted in Jesus through his Word and sacraments. For believers, the end is truly a beginning.
Service Focus: Offer Forgiveness
When you know that the end is approaching, what’s the most important thing you can do? Some would say that the vital thing is to concentrate on your relationships.
The most important part of your personal relationship with God is the forgiveness of sins you have through faith in Jesus. The most important thing you can offer the most important people in your life is forgiveness. The beginning of the end is a good time to put the Lord’s Prayer into practice and forgive as you have been forgiven.
